6 International Experts On Podium At Branding Conference

With six international branding experts taking to the podium in October this year, Brands & Branding for Good is set to make an indelible mark on the local branding scene as the conference of choice for forward-looking marketing and advertising professionals.

Recognising that exposure to international trends and case studies is vital when it comes to planning for a brand’s future, conference convenor, Ken Preston, has secured six speakers with extensive experience in the global market to join an already impressive line-up of local gurus.

They are:

Stefan Borbe

Stefan Borbe is responsible for BMW product communication worldwide. He also leads the global communication of the technology projects BMW EfficientDynamics and BMW ConnectedDrive.

During his career over 15 years at BMW Group Stefan Borbe led the Group´s CRM Program from the Marketing side, created and managed the Group Marketing Innovation Lab. He set the basis for the success of the New MINI brand and established BMW Group´s sales and marketing operations in Argentina.

Previous to BMW, Stefan Borbe worked for five years with McKinsey&Company in Munich and Buenos Aires as consultant and engagement manager. During this time he served clients from the automotive and machinery industry as well as public services, banking and consumer goods.

Stefan Borbe holds a degree in Production Engineering from University of Hannover, Germany.

Andrew Human

CEO – The Loerie Awards

Andrew studied materials science and has a doctorate in engineering. An Internet pioneer, he was a partner at Grey Matter and worked for the world’s largest digital media company at the time – marchFirst in New York City. His extensive awards experience includes working with the One Club, the Art Directors Club and the London International Advertising Awards. He has been managing South Africa’s leading brand communication awards, the Loeries, since 2005.

Andrew was voted 2007 Advertising Industry Person of the Year by Jeremy Maggs’ ‘The Annual’ and 2008 AdReview Advertising Person of the Year. He has judged the Epica Awards in Paris, the Gecko Advertising Awards in Namibia, the Footprint Marketing Awards, the Business and Arts South Africa Awards, and was on the 2010 Adreview Agency of the Decade panel. He is the editor of Migrate magazine, a 2008 Gold Loerie winner, and voted the best mag to have in the loo by the creative industry.
