Mzamo Masito is a marketing powerhouse with professional experiences spanning both the entrepreneurial and private sectors.
Mzamo, one of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders, has professional endeavours which span top multinational corporations from Unilever (marketing director) to Nike. In 2006, he created his own brainchild, People’s Insights Consultancy (www.peoplesinsightsconsultancy.co.za), which advised South Africa’s and the world’s leading corporations on consumer behaviour and brand growth. Mzamo’s dynamic and visionary leadership led him to his current position as Brand Director for Nike South Africa where he is responsible for developing and implementing Nike’s regional positioning for the 2010 World Cup and beyond.
In this role, Mzamo manages marketing strategy across several categories, including: Football, Running, Sportswear, Young Athletes, Basketball and Action Sports. Mzamo is a graduate of the University of Cape Town with majors in Statistics and Economics, where he also served as a lecturer, convener and presently a consultant and public presenter for the UCT Unilever Institute, an institute well known for brand innovative topics i.e. Black Diamonds.
Mzamo earned his M.B.A from the Gordon Institute of Business and his articles on the Black Consumer and Marketing have appeared in various periodicals nationwide.
