Jo-Ann De Wet started with McDonald’s as a Trainee Manager in October 1995. She was sent to the UK and spent six months there completing her first McDonald’s Operations Management Course. In 1996 upon her return to South Africa, Jo-Ann spent six months in operational training and opening of four restaurants, progressing through the different restaurant management positions.
In January 2009 Jo-Ann became Director of Operations and is currently responsible for 58 franchise restaurants and manages National Training, Restaurant Solutions Group (RSG) and Franchising.
Jo-Ann is also the current Chair of the McDonald’s Women’s Leadership Network, supporting the development and advancement of women within the company.
Jo-Anne is a married mother of 4 sons.
